FAQs
VOS (Very Old Sherry) and VORS (Very Old Rare Sherry) are sherry wines of exceptional ageing. VOS indicates wines aged for a minimum of 20 years, while VORS corresponds to those aged for more than 30 years. These wines represent the highest quality in the region and are known for their complexity, balance and longevity
What makes VOS/VORS wines special is their long ageing in soleras, which gives them a unique complexity. These wines are characterised by a greater depth of flavour, with notes of nuts, wood and spices that are not found in younger wines. The time spent in oak casks is what gives them their superior quality.
VOS/VORS wines are best served slightly chilled or at room temperature, depending on the type of wine. It is recommended to use wide glasses to allow the aromas to be released and oxygenate properly. Pairing them with tapas or high-end dishes, such as cured cheeses, seafood or foie gras, further enhances their complexity and elegance.
