With its wonderfully balanced notes of fruit and spices, this is a very versatile rum for mixing in cocktails, but it’s equally enjoyable on its own or with ice.

Información Supplementary information

Production: The journey of Dos Maderas begins in the tropical climates of Barbados and Guyana. Once harvested between February and June, it ferments for two days. Traditional rum producers distill the fermented molasses, using different methods and types of distillers. Then, thanks to the climate of the area, the first aging of Dos Maderas takes place, with these spirits resting for five years in 220-liter oak barrels previously used for bourbon aging. After five years of aging in the Caribbean climate, these are already exceptional rums in their own right. However, a crucial part in the production of Dos Maderas is the selection and blending of rums from these two very different producing countries to create a spirit with the perfect characteristics to undergo aging in wine barrels in Jerez. The unique Jerez method of Criaderas and Solera transforms the spirit; the climate of Jerez and the different wine casks used contribute to the flavor of the final product.

The Brand: Dos Maderas not only combines the best of two aging methods used in very distant corners, but also unites two cultures. On one hand, we have the rum heritage of Barbados and Guyana in the Caribbean, and on the other, the rich wine tradition of Jerez in Spain.
