Description
Daniel Morales creates a reinvented Bloody Mary with Gran Duque de Alba Brandy, PX Don Zoilo, and botanical, sweet, and spicy touches.
Preparation
One of the most widespread theories claims that the international Bloody Mary was created by Fernand Petiot, who first prepared this drink in 1921 at Harry’s Bar in Paris. More than 100 years later, Daniel Morales creates a twist on this classic for Williams Humbert Wineries, featuring Gran Duque de Alba Brandy as the main ingredient.
A tomato and artemisia water that will provide nested and sweet touches, the spiciness comes from the classic mixture of Worcestershire sauce, Tabasco, and Timur black pepper, and Pedro Ximénez Don Zoilo 15 years is also added. As Daniel Morales states: “A Spicy Mix that we clarify in order to obtain a cleaner and less aggressive mixture. The citrus will be incorporated by a crystallized lime cordial. As for the salty part, we will make a dilution of water, salt, and EVOO. We will finish with a dry tarragon leaf perfumed”
